AB Technology, a joint venture company focused on EV charging infrastructure, sought to develop a backend platform that would provide greater flexibility and control over their EV charging network. Our solution delivered a custom-built server that seamlessly integrates with various charger models and online payment systems, enabling real-time monitoring, remote management, and streamlined payment processing. This platform empowers AB Technology to optimize their charging operations, reduce reliance on third-party providers, and generate new revenue streams through management fees.

The project involved developing a robust and adaptable backend system to integrate seamlessly with various EV charger models and communication protocols, including the relatively new OCPP 1.6J standard. Our Approach & Contributions

AB Technology sought to create an EV charging platform that offered greater flexibility and control than existing solutions that relied on third-party servers. We took on the challenge of developing a custom-built backend system that could seamlessly integrate with various EV charger models and online payment systems. This involved delving into the complexities of the OCPP 1.6J protocol, a relatively new standard at the time, and overcoming the limitations of existing documentation and resources. Our team employed a combination of reverse engineering, experimentation, and collaboration with charger manufacturers to ensure successful implementation and integration.
